Massage

The Pro-Active Wellness Center offers highly effective, professional massages. Under the supervision of the treating physicians, the therapy is covered by most PPO insurances.

JULIE RASMUSSEN

Julie Rasmussen is an experienced massage therapist who understands the body and works with the chiropractors at the Pro-Active Wellness Center to assess and treat a variety of conditions, while at the same time providing a comfortable therapeutic massage. Julie specializes in sports injury massage, deep tissue massage, pre/post natal massage, infant/child massage, and trigger point therapy.

From 1998 to 2007 Julie was the owner of her own massage therapy business in Virginia. Then, in 2008, she moved to Manhattan Beach and joined the team at the Pro-Active Wellness Center. Julie was married in 2006 to her elementary school sweetheart. She has 2 dogs named Dakota and Bailey. In her spare time, Julie enjoys playing with her dogs, wakeboarding, skydiving, boating, and helping others.

CREDENTIALS

Julie graduated from Rainstar Massage College, located in Phoenix, Arizona, in 1997 and has been Nationally Certified (NCBTMB) since 1998.

In 2006, Julie completed her certification as a Personal Trainer and a Sports Nutritionalist.

In 2007, Julie became a Certified Golf Fitness Instructor under the Titleist Performance Institute.

Then, in 2008, she became certified in pre/post Natal massage, and infant/child massage.

Currently, Julie is in the process of completing her "Massage Doula" certification.

Julie is an established member of the American Massage Therapy Association (AMTA).
